52 Portraits is a photography course in self discovery by Vanessa and is hosted through Get Messy Art Journal. All my life I stood and looked out on this road and dreamed of running away. Running away to foreign lands. Running away to new people, new adventures, new languages, new foods, new cultures, new experiences and a new me. Runaway, I did. But somehow this road pulls me back in, time and time again. I close my eyes and savour the feel and the smell of it. The blue skies, the quiet it exudes, the fresh-cut grass, the home it leads to. The memories, the people, the safety. Yet, as soon as I am there, I am longing to runaway again down that road to those foreign places....
