7/52 Self Portraits: Elemental

    The sea beckons me. It's tides pull me in and wash me away. It cleanses and it destroys. One day, I shall walk into the sea and reclaim my rightful form as Mermaid, explorer of the deep, creature of the wild exotic. The sea holds all our hopes, dreams, myths, questions, history and secrets. The sea's largeness and vast beauty holds wonder and wonders unknown. It's faraway reaches and depths are like the mystery of our hearts. The sea is a reflection of a God who is large and strong and peaceful and violent and mysterious and ever-present. I will lose myself in its depths and its mysteries, inviting its adventure and its quiet knowledge of the world and all humanity and creatures unseen.52 Portraits is a photography course in self discovery by Vanessa and is hosted through Get Messy Art Journal.
