Get Messy Art Journal 07

Hey, hey! Its that time again! Time to get messy and make something! Since we're traveling, I packed a travel kit (see it here) and included a few magazines and an art journaling stash of photos, etc  for the trip. (Disclaimer I would have not actually brought so much of my art journaling stash on a normal vacation, I only have it all because were moving and everything we own is in our car...). But! I truly only used one magazine, one personal photo and my travel kit to create all of these pages in the car!I realized through these pages that I clearly have summertime on the mind. Its funny that these pages showed me that I hadn't honestly let myself transition into a summer mindset until we totally finished packing, moved out and set out on the road. Its funny how your subconscious shows up in these pages!  But now that were on the road, I'm in full blown summer mode!This page is a collage of all the things that represent summer to me. I cant wait to actually get to experience all these things before we move!I've had this collage of some of my favorite blooms in mind and when I saw Vanessa's collage last week, I knew exactly what I needed! Thanks for the inspiration friend!Oh yes....yes I do. I love the idea of splicing up a photo and to create the text I channeled my inner Caylee and wanted to add some handwriting the way she does...but my handwriting is terrible...So I typed this quote in a font I liked on my ipad, placed a piece of computer paper over it, traced the words with a sharpie and then cut closely around them.This is the last 'normal' week of Get Messy. Next week we are starting a ton of new fun stuff for you guys to participate more in! If you want to be involved send me an email and we'll get you set up!
