Get Messy: Season of Words 04
Its Get Messy Thursday! I just finished listening to the book Big Magic on audio by Elizabeth Gilbert (full review to come) and I have been MAJORLY inspired. One concept that she promotes is being curious and following your whims and desires in creativity, especially when you are 'uninspired'. When I came back from summer I was really struggling to get back into my routine of scrapbooking and art journaling and was honestly doing nothing because I was stuck. I started following my curiosity and started playing around with stitching and a few other brand new-to-me crafts and soon my mojo for creating came back and I have been making some of the best stuff I have made in a while! Here's to being curious! This song has been stuck in my head and weighing on my heart this week so I knew I needed to memoralize it in my Book of Words. I would honestly be ok if my altered book for this season was just a book full of hand-lettered quotes. No problem at all. I've been practicing this font lately and really like it! For both pages I used Papier Projekts new stamps! The above page used the alpha outlines and the bottom I used the floral pattern making stamp. I used a mint color and blue color stamp ink to create the different shades to match the watercolor words. I love nothing more than a good alpha stamp and pattern stamp.
