How far will you go to create good in the world? In this interview, Kristianna Puckett explains how she followed her heart for good all the way to Uganda. Living there long-term, fostering two young boys and working for a children's shelter, Kristianna uses her creativity to tell the stories of the children in her community. She also advocates for the way orphanages ethically care for their children. She explains how she found her calling to help contribute love, empathy, and cultural understanding, while encouraging you to do the same.

Meet Your Guest

Kristianna Puckett was 17 years old on her first trip to Uganda, Africa.  She made several trip back and forth until she decided to reside long-term in Uganda in 2016.  Since then her dreams have been to work alongside Ugandan-led organizations and approach at-risk children through family empowerment. Kristianna serves as a communications coordinator with a children’s shelter located in Mukono district, coordinates a sponsorship program and also has become foster mama to two children. Kristianna believes it is a privilege to call Uganda home, the culture is captivating and there are so many dreamers and Ugandan heroes who have changed her life. Kristianna’s hope is to continue witnessing families be restored and children’s lives be changed by the power of love.
