How To Cross Russia From East To West In 8 Minutes
This summer we boarded the Transiberian Train and rode from the (almost) farthest east point of Russia to the (almost) farthest west side of Russia. To say it was the adventure of a lifetime is an understatement. People keep asking why ride the train instead of just save the time (and uncomfortableness) and just fly? Because: THIS. This view you will never get any other way. The Russian landscape is so diverse. There is over 6,000 miles of railway that you cross and the sites are unbelievable. Though I had been to Russia before this journey, I knew very little of the vast expanse of land that lay between airports and it is something we will never regret seeing.I will share more about life on the actual train soon, but for now, I want to show you what the view is like. Seven whole days, simmered down to about 7 and half minutes. There was so much beauty and diversity in the landscape I could not take my eyes off of it. The main activity on the train is certainly staring out the window. Everyone is doing it. There is so much untouched land. And every time I saw a tiny village I was fascinated and searching and imagining what the way of life was like in that tiny village surrounded by nothing. How do they survive? Where do they go? Do they go anywhere? What is their life like? How long have they been living there? How much longer will they stay?Watch and wonder with me, wont you? https://vimeo.com/142974430Want more Russia?
