Inspiring Instagram Accounts Part 1

We talk alot on How She Creates (our new podcast! learn more here) about how instagram inspires us. I have also been developing a whole course on inspiration (sign up here for details-launching soon!!) and one important part of being an artist or maker is to be consistently inspired. But, just like any social media site, your feed can easily get overrun with photos of people's dogs and giveaways or promotions. One way to make sure instagram is an inspiring place for you is to follow inspiring people who consistently post the type of art you love.I have been curating my feed for a long time, as instagram is my favorite, but even though I follow a ton of people I consistently see beautiful photos of a wide genre of art. You can curate your feed however you would like. At first my feed was mostly scrapbooking, but I have now swung to more abstract art, but there is always travel, weaving and more sprinkled in. That's the beauty of social media, it comes and goes just like your interests.I thought I would share my current favorite instagrammers who inspire me every day so you can add a few to your list. As much as I love cute walls, these accounts are all about the art. As there are wayyyyy too many for one post (or even 10) I've narrowed it down to the top accounts that I get excited to see and will manually check every so often because they are just that inspiring and exciting to me.Here are the first round of inspiring instagram accounts, in no particular order with no emphasis on instagram fame.  More to next week! Beautiful and personal and she lives in the greatest city on earth!Tina is one of my top favorite makers, she is feminine but not girly. Her patterns are simple and yet so beautiful and intriguing. I love all her designs.Ah! Emily is one of my all time favorite artists and I have worked with her before through instagram courses she teaches and I love her philosophy that instagram is a place to tell your story. She does this beautifully and consistently.This account makes me laugh out loud constantly. Not only are their boards and photos beautiful but the quotes are A-mazing.Caitlyn is probably my favorite scrapbooker right now. Her designs are so on point for my current style and only $1?! It does not get any better.Justina is the designer that is influencing me the most at this time in my life and I feel that the Jungalicious, bohemian vibes I am soaking in from her will be here to stay in my life for a very long time.Jen is so talented and makes drawing/painting look simple. I am waiting on her new book to arrive in the mail and I can't wait to get started on it.Mia's patterns are colorful and simple but busy all at the same time.
