Jean Smith Photography in Thailand Part 1
Do you know how sometimes you will click on one link and then another and then another and then another and then somehow you have no idea where you are and how you've lost 3 hours of your life and why you just bought Sesame Street Sock Puppets?! (totally never happened...) Well one time I did that (the link clicking, not the sock puppets) and it was the best decision I've made in a long time. I stumbled upon Jean Smith's personal blog We Might Be Nomads and fell in love. With her family. With what she's doing. With her photography. She and her husband sold everything and packed 4 suitcases and moved their 4 sons all the way across the world. They are travelling for an entire year, homeschooling and pretty much just being awesome. You should really go read their story.Ok, so now back to my blackhole link clicking. I find her blog, realize she's an amazing photographer and then the heavens opened up and the clouds parted: She was going to be in Thailand at the exact same time we were, in the exact same place. Oh and she was doing photography sessions if requested. Obviously I requested one immediately, without second guessing it for one second. We met Jean and her husband, Travis, in the late afternoon and shot at Huai Kaeo Waterfall and then we moved to a night market for more lifestyle, street documentary shots. Don't worry, I will share tons of them! For now though I thought I would share the really sweet video Jean made for us of some of her favorite shots. Soon I will share all about our experience and some of my favorite shots (spoiler alert, all of them). If you are going to be in an area they are be sure to look her up!https://vimeo.com/118781699
