Lovely Letters: May
I am so elated to share with you our very first month of the Lovely Letters project!! When Esther and I cooked up this idea we had no idea how it would go. We tentatively opened sign ups and WOW! You guys totally overwhelmed us! We were blown away by the amount of you who signed up and we are crazy excited to read all of your reviews of how your experience was and see the awesome gifts you received and the great new friends you've made! Seriously, thank you! This month Esther and I decided to be partners, seeing as how even though we have a passion for handwritten letters and making new friends, we haven't actually exchanged any snail mail. Crazy, right?! So, allow me to introduce you to Esther, my internet friend and partner in this fun little link up. Esther is originally from Atlanta, right down the road from me. But really originally she is from....you guessed it: Korea!! It's so funny how the Lord chose to put people in my path to prepare me for this crazy journey. Anyway, Esther and her husband (who is a professional YouTuber, check him out here) live in Vegas baby! Esther is one talented lady behind a camera and loves to travel. Combine these two things and you officially have my fantasy blog. Oh and she writes about Korean cooking. She makes friend squid look delicious! Could it get any better? Oh what, yes it can. Esther and her hubs have decided to embark on 52 out of the ordinary dates. Hence the fabulous mall photo shoot you see below...I love cheesy and sweet and fun.Esther's gift was so thoughtful and mouthwatering. She included a ton of Asian things to get me prepared for Korea. Some adorable little notebooks (you can never have enough of these), an earbud holder (which my husband promptly took and wrapped his earbuds around. I guess he will carry his on a cute cat, not me....) and some asain candies. The candies were DELICIOUS! Im trying to pace myself so I don't eat them all at once and can really appreciate them. Oh and how fitting, they are all shaped like hearts. Precious.Snail Mail is one of my favorite things in the world. There is nothing better than opening a package to see whats inside and knowing that someone thoughtfully chose those things for you. Even though I have made a ton of friends all over the world through these interwebs who I will probably never meet in person, I am able to have a small part of them here with me in my home through snail mail. We would love for you to participate next month. Just sign up here for the June Lovely Letters. Next month them is Summer Reading and well be doing a book swap of our favorite books! EEK! Sign up here. Read the guidelines here. If you participated this month, we would love for you to link up your post so we can all read about your new friend and your gift! Link up at the bottom.
