Project Life Inspiration, Tips & Techniques
As part of my new lease on Project Life (get it), I have identified a few techniques or ideas that I want to include in my spread each week. To challenge me, to keep it fresh, to grow as a maker, to make my pages different. On my Planner Page that I shared with you, I listed a place for 'techniques' and these are what I mean. Some may not exactly qualify as an 'art technique', but they are different from my normal sliding photos into pockets, so that's what I'm calling them.So here are some challenges, ideas, techniques that I'll be including, at least one, each week into my PL album. Most are clickable so you can see an example of someone doing this amazingly. What techniques do you want to try this year?
- Experiment with different photo sizes.
- Type journaling onto PL cards.
- Add text to photos

- Print movies/TV ads/posters
- Use photos pro's took at events where I didn't get a good picture
- Branch out with art techniques like watercolor, painting, etc

- Envelopes or pockets, project by Mish Mash
- Add extra photos in by sewing in a bonus pocket

- Make 4x6 collages to include more pictures
- Instagram photo strips
- His & Hers pages by Caylee
- Use apps to add design elements like borders, etc
- Write on photos
- Use prompts to include my husband
- Add digital elements
- Use week # cards to add consistency
- And as always, when in doubt, seek inspiration from the best! Pinterest is a really great resource I use when I have absolutely no ideas or am more browsing to add to my inspiration collection. But it is too overwhelming sometimes when I have a specific need. So I try to channel my inner PL mentors on certain creative issues. So I have narrowed it down to a few ladies who really inspire me and are my style whose sites I visit when I need a specific idea: Elise, Caylee, Finding Nana, Trisha Harrison, Ann Marie, Kristi P, Made by Cay, Tracy from Single Girl SB, Heather from Tickled Yellow, Elsie from ABM
