Project Life Week 3

DIY

Its week 3 and I am officially past the new years creative juice of taking enough photos each week to fill a 2 page spread....1-IMG_5576Again, I went with the single page spread because I had a really crazy (read 60 hour work week in 4 days) week. So I had no daily life photos, but I had the BEST weekend! My mom, her BFF and her sister, and I went to this adorable scrapbook villa, called Scrapbook Creations for a long weekend to get crafty. It's in Spartenburg, SC which is half way in between me and my mom. Seriously, if you are in the area you have to check this place out. They have cottages for you to stay in, a fairly large scrapbook store and a huge workspace for you to play and create and they offer workshops. And the prices are very inexpensive.2-IMG_5577So, week 3 is summed up with these weekend photos, which I love :) I also taught all the ladies about Project Life and hybrid scrapping. Every time my mom calls me she tells me how in love with the pocket pages they are! Changing the world, one scrapper at a time. right?! The large photo above, I printed using Tracy's tutorial of cropping it in the PicFrame app into two 4x6's. I'm honestly a little peeved at myself for not realizing this was the easiest and best idea sooner! Thanks Tracy! This week is definitely an explosion of color, which is in stark contrast with the rest of my album from this year. But I really like the pop of color and just seemed fitting with all the crazy colors and craftiness going on in the photos. It summed up the weekend very well. And The For The Love of stamp is an Elise Joy stamp stamped right onto my photo with white ink and written on with a gold sharpie.3-IMG_5578I've been playing with some new techniques to use my week cards. I'm really liking the consistency of using them and the challenge to use them differently.Products used: Caylee Grey weekly cards. PL Core Kits: Midnight.  We R Memory Keepers Captured cards.
