Quick Cards
YAY! These cards are my secret weapon. I am THE WORST at remembering important events and/or having good intentions and never following through. I am always showing up to work and realizing its someones birthday or that someone is having a bad day and really needs a note of encouragement. But I am full of good intentions and a bad memory. For a baby shower last year I made some note cards like this for people to write notes of encouragement on to the mommy-to-be and people loved them! And it clicked that these are the perfect go to notes to have on hand. So every few months I will sit down and make a big batch of them and store them in my desk at work to always have on hand. So, take 10 minutes and make some with me and always have a GREAT card to give a friend who needs it! Supplies:
- cardstock
- paints
- paper cutter
- paint brushes
- water
- pens for writing!
Step 1: Cut your cards down to size. Mine are random sizes and it doesn't bother me at all. Step 2: Paint! See SO easy! I try to paint with writing in mind. So I stick to the edges. But its ok if your paint takes up some of your writing space as most pens will write over the watercolor. Step 3: Write your notes!Step 4: Give them to people and make their day! So easy, but seriously when you hand someone a handmade note on a bad day, you will totally turn their day around. It is so thoughtful and wonderful! I keep a stockpile of these and hand them out as often as I can! I would totally encourage you to do the same!
