1 year, 1 page
Right after we saw the movie Up, and cried like babies, we started an adventure book. It was back in the beginning of our relationship, so there are some pretty cute photos of us being dorky and newly in love and some, umm, interesting scrapbooking on my part. I wasn't really into it back then and didn't have a ton of supplies. But! We so cherish that book and the memories it has; it's the only tangible record we have of our dating years, if you don't count Facebook. Since then we have fancy wedding scrapbooks and other books I've made like this minibook of a cruise and my project life book. But I wanted to keep going with this book and be able to look back on a ton of highlights from our whole life in one simple book. So I've gone to 1 yearly page. Maybe with a few important ones in between...In 2013 we kept a memory jar and every time something memorable happened, happy, sad, funny, important, we wrote it on a card and put it in the jar. On new years eve we pulled them all out and read them together. It was such a sweet moment that we got to remember all the great moments that made our year. I took those moments and wrote them on pretty little flags I made, a design element I really loved this year. I Added some Amy Tan thickers and paper, my favorite photo from this year and a PL card from the Midnight Edition.
Thank You 2013, You are so very loved.
Last year, we sat down on New Years Eve and wrote out the Best of 2013. We wrote out our favorite things and moments from the year and paired them with another favorite photo. I used scrapbook supplies I had on hand and some cardstock I had on hand.
Thanks for the Memories 2012.
This is possibly one of my favorite traditions we have and I cant wait to look back on these 10 years from now and see a whole year in a glance and smile. What traditions do you have to celebrate and remember your year?!
