Project Life Update
So if you know me in real life you know how obsessed I am with Project Life. And if youre my husband you know how obsessed my bank account is with Project Life...kidding its not that bad, ish. I finally got a PL page up though! See it up there, the pretty little tab that says Project Life?! Its has all my layouts in order from most recent to the oldest. So please virtually browse my album, Im so in love with it! You can read about how I got started with PL here. This has been such a fun journey with this album documenting the everyday. I have tried a ton of different techniques and approaches, but Im finding that simple, weekly layouts are my jam. At first most of my layouts were monthly, but there were just too many pictures and things got left out and I forgot and it just seemed like it didn't click for me. This may be perfect for you if you don't take a lot of photos, but I love being able to look at a week at time only, it just makes it so much more manageable.
I loooooove looking at other people's books for inspiration and have found some truly great ideas, like pinterest, the project life creative team, studio calico, and Elise Blaha, but in the end I had to find my own style and I think Im there now. Here are a few detail shots of some of my favorite pages.
My first page is still my favorite page ever. I love the matching, bright colors, the simplicity and the use of memorabilia.
My Nicaragua pages are my absolute favorite, not only are they beautiful but its my favorite week of the year....The map card is actually our thank you card we sent out to supporters. And the card below is my title card I made using vintage Nicaraguan stamps I found at an antique shop.
There were just too many great pictures, so I included an insert and used some washi tape to make a tab to use to turn the page.
Halfway through the year, I got the Kraft Edition and oh man, do I love it. Bright colors, check, adorable filler cards, check. Getting this set totally reignited my love for PL. They are such genius' over there....
Hope over to the Project Life page and check out the full pages! Be sure to share a link to your pages so I can be inspired by yours!
